Kicks the Pants Off Nespresso!
This is, far and away, the best frother I’ve owned and I’ve only had it for a few hours. It beats the pants off of the frothers from Nespresso, which are almost twice the price! Let me explain why.First, and probably foremost on my mind, the carafe is dishwasher safe and much easier to handle than the giant all-in-one units most other manufacturers offer. I have zero skills at latte art, but there’s actually a chance I might figure it out with this one.Second, the whisk part is much larger, allowing it to do a better job of aerating the milk and making a really nice, fine foam. It’s not going to be quite as good as you would get from a steam frother on a proper espresso machine, but it’s better than what I’ve ever seen from other brands.Third, the user interface is dead simple. Tap the button for temperature, choosing from one of three settings (cold, warm, and hot). Tap the button for froth level, again choosing from three settings (none, latte, and cappuccino), then tap the green start button and she’s off to the races. The one I bought with my Nespresso Citiz years ago required an arcane combination of pushing and holding buttons to choose different temperatures and you had to swap the whisk for a paddle attachment, both of which were tiny and easy to lose track of, to choose your froth level.And fourth, the price can’t be beat. Seriously, unless you want a cheap knockoff of the premium brands, you’re going to spend north of $100 for one. This one was $60 without even catching it on sale.Even though I know it will keep me up late (it’s already 7pm here), I just made the best at-home cappuccino I’ve ever had with so little effort and the cleanup took less than a minute. I can’t wait to use this to make hot chocolate for my kids, lattes and cappuccino for my wife, and even cold foam to go with a good cold brew! It’s so good it’s got me seriously considering the brand for other kitchen appliances.

Instant Magic Froth 9-in-1 is a great little frother
I initially bought a top rated battery operated frother which I returned as it was junk. Instant, however, is a legitimate appliance in a compact form factor. The stainless can was a huge selling point for me (opposed to non-stick). It’s a little tight for my large hand to find in the mixer unit. Here is what I learned so far:froth 0, heat: 0: unacceptable at mixing chocolate powder (Ghirardelli baking chocolate power is hard to mix, near impossible with a spoon, so previous best option was a matcha whisk).froth 0, heat 2: matcha pending test.froth 1, heat 0 or 2: perfect job at mixing chocolate powder, however, you have to ignore the max level for forth 1 and instead fill a bit under froth 0 max to get a usable drink volume. It will spill if you do it all the way to forth 0 max. It takes a LONG time to heat up… I should time it but like 5 minutes? It’s great but I wish I could make it just a little hotter. Once you get the volume dialed in you don’t have to watch it so it’s still a very convenient appliance.forth 2, heat 2: beautiful froth with half/half but it deflates quickly (nature of half/half I think), and of course you have some leftover liquid which didn’t bother me. It also works with mixing chocolate powder but only like half a glass. It’s quite luxurious to have froth on hot chocolate.Here is what Instant should consider improving in future versions:1. Use variable froth option (not just 3) so I dial it in for chocolate powder without the very significant loss of drink volume. Find a way to deal with overflow so it doesn’t result in liquid running onto the hot plate or worse into the machine.2. Use variable temperature control so I get it a hotter.3. Tell me the actual temperature (F/C).4. Use induction element for heating, or more powder so it can prepare my hot drink about the same time it would take to heat it in a microwave.5. Ability to turn off the beeping. One of our dogs is scared of the sound.Finally consider making a version with twice the volume (2 cups).

Good but warranty service is horrible! Don’t buy it!
The Milk Frother is a great device to heat milk and make a nice froth. But when the heater stopped working about 5 weeks after buying it, dealing with the warranty department is not satisfying at all. Initially, I spoke with a rep by phone and sent in the requested documentation immediately. I got a nice email back saying “ Once we receive this information, we will be happy to assist you and respond as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you!”After not getting a response in about a week, I called again and another rep checked the claim. This rep ok’d the claim and sent an email saying “ We appreciate your patience. We have processed an order for the following to be shipped to your provided address. 1x Magic Froth. Once shipped, you will receive a separate email with tracking information.”After about 3 weeks, I still did not receive tracking information or a replacement, so I called again. I was told that the replacement was not able to be delivered and was returned by the shipping company. No explanation was given as to why no email with tracking information was not sent. It was not in my junk folder. Again, they wrote “ We appreciate your patience. We have processed an order for the following to be shipped to your provided address.1x [Milk Frother 10 MB black]Once shipped, you will receive a separate email with tracking information.”I am still waiting but have run out of patience. I will never buy another Instant Pot Brand appliance again. They may well sell great products but their warranty service is abysmal at best.
