Love My Sheep’s Balls!
These things are great! I may have imagined this, but they seemed to become more effective after the first several loads, so there may be a breaking in period. There may also be a period of adjustment for those of us who associate perfume-y smells with clean laundry, but I and everyone I have introduced them to have come to prefer our “sheeps’ balls” to chemical laden fabric softeners. Dryer loads are dry more quickly, and items are far less wrinkly than without the balls. Having ordered the set of eight, I see no reason to calculate the number used based on load – in this case, I think more is probably better. They do not leave lint on my dark clothes, and though they are not a substitute for an iron, they will prevent your jeans from drying into accordian-like tangled folds. For those complaining about static, I don’t recall any claims to eliminate it, and have indeed noticed a bit more when clothes are taken from the dryer now that the colder weather has settled in, but I’d rather shake that out as I fold than expose myself and others to the cumulative effect of unnecessary chemicals (try white vinegar in the wash & drying naturals and synthetics separately to cut down on static).I put a few drops of lavender essential oil on a couple of balls for each load, which leaves a nice hint of scent, although when standing outside the vent, the effect seems more pronounced in the yard – hope the squirrels enjoy it too! (Of course one should not use essential oils indiscriminately, especially undiluted, for children, and around people with particular sensitivities.)I even badgered a tough-guy friend who is helping to care for his elderly mother to try some at her house, and not only has he become quite the able laundry-doer, but he has impressed his picky, sticky-note leaving sisters with his find. This is a great product that everyone who uses a dryer should include in their laundry kit.

Good, Useful, environmentally-friendly product
Quality product. Works well with all types of garments and linens. Like that these are environmentally-friendly and from a woman-owned and women-supportive small business.

This product was recommended to my by a friend
The seller sent a followup email asking if there had been any problem and soliciting a review. I do not have a problem with the email or with posting a review. The email is below in case you are interested. Note that it does not request that the review be favorable. This product was recommended to my by a friend. I was skeptical but she was cute. These don’t cost much so I figured I would give them a try. I have been pleasantly surprised that they actually work. I would tell her they worked no matter what and thank her for recommending them, but you I have no desire to butter up so the following review is genuine.I have been using the Smart Sheep Dryer Balls for about 6 months now and they have worked well. I stopped using dryer sheets and if anything my clothes are softer and generally have fewer static issues than previously. My clothes definitely dry better with the balls than they did previously. There have been times when static has been high but that seems to be when I have had heavier fabrics in the load and have had to run several cycles to get everything dry. I suspect that if I would take the thinner things our sooner, or just launder like fabrics together, then it would not be an issue at all. I have lots of allergies and I have not had any problems with allergies using the balls. The relevant part of the email is:Thank you for your June 14 purchase of our Smart Sheep 100% Wool Dryer Balls. We hope you are enjoying them! Please let us know if there are any issues with your product or order. We’d be happy to resolve them for you.If you have time, we’d love it if you would write a short product review on our amazon listing. Since our small family-run company does not spend any money on advertising, we rely on customers like you to share their experiences with our product to other customers on Amazon. Keeping our marketing costs low helps keep our products reasonably-priced. We truly appreciate every review we get.

Great balls for the dryer!
What a difference these balls make in your laundry. Makes it dry faster and towels dry fluffier! Great value for your money.

Though these say XL…
These aren’t particularly large – I got some jumbo ones from another company and they are like baseballs. These work fine but it takes twice as many to not even do the same as three of the jumbo ones. I’m saving the jumbo ones for the sheets, towels and t-shirts and will use these on the other things but they don’t work as well on wrinkles but they do beat dryer sheets (have only used them as sachets for linen for years after I heard they make the lint trap in dryers not work right and your house could burn down). These are great – haven’t noticed the fact I stopped using fabric softener (just Nellie’s soda to soften the water) in the wash either. They do decrease dryer time! Not by half but by about 75%. They stand up so far – I thought they’d start getting ‘tired’ after a few loads but so far they look new! So these are nice quality and smell nice after a load of Nellie’s washing goes through. I tried them with soap nuts detergent and they didn’t smell as nice afterwards. I’m going to buy bigger ones when they wear out but as far as I can tell from my three purchases of wool dryer balls, these are the second biggest ones I’ve seen. Bigger is better!

Excellent product. Leaves my towels soft and minus the guilt of the huge environmental impact of dryer sheets. I have bought some for my friends and family too.

I still need my fabric softener to get rid of static…but the clothing seems tiny bit softer.

Por las opiniones esperaba más, le estoy poniendo 2 bolas a una carga completa y aún así, no suavisa como esperaba. Ahora estoy volviendo a utilizar las toallas suavizantes que ya no quería utilizar.

Just add to tumble dryer, they capture all the lint etc.
