Perfect Blend of Style, Function, and Durability!
I couldn’t be happier with this Garden Hose Reel Box! The wicker-style is nice and adds a decorative touch to my backyard. The functionality is great.The Smart Trak hose guide makes winding and unwinding incredibly smooth and prevents any annoying kinks. The crank handle works effortlessly, and the tight seal connection ensures zero leaks — something I had trouble with on previous hose reels.It’s also built tough, it has held up well against sun and rain with no signs of fading or wear. It’s compact enough to tuck away neatly, yet it stores my 100 foot hose perfectly.I was so pleased with the purchase i bought a second hose reel. I highly recommended!

Great Product…Of course it is. It’s a Suncast!
The last hose reel I owned lasted 17 years. It was a Suncast. It finally gave up the ghost after record hard freezes at record temperatures for West Texas. The water in the plastic outlet water connector on the reel froze. When it thawed, it cracked slightly. It still worked well except that the leaking became a nuisance. Since I had left that reel and its water-filled hose exposed to the heat and cold of West Texas for 365 days for each of the last 17 years, I think I got my money’s worth.So I ordered this new Suncast hose reel with great confidence. I was not disappointed. I have a very heavy-duty 75′ rubber hose that is pliable, but quite heavy. With a little assistance from me, this new hose reel does an admirable job. And I have no doubt that, plastic parts notwithstanding, this reel should last many years,–just like its Suncast predecessor.What some of the negative reviewers report concerning trouble winding the hose on the reel, etc. seems a bit disingenuous to me. Yard work can be HARD work. Reeling in a hose requires some intelligent choices that I’m guessing some of the reviewers neglected to do, for one reason or another. For instance, you should turn off the water at the faucet so the pressure doesn’t keep the hose stiff; remove the hose sprayer so it doesn’t add unnecessary drag or catch on grass runners or other objects in the yard; position the hose in a more or less 90-degree angle out from the storage box; and use your left hand to help guide the hose as the smart track guide slides along its track.Yes, it takes a bit of effort, but, as I stated: Yard work is HARD work. And I love it! Thanks, Suncast!PS When I called the Suncast 800 number, I got a perky and helpful young lady (Sandy?). Her answers to my questions and her patience were 5-STAR. Since my 17-year-old hose reel was out of warranty (lol), she tried to find a replacement connector part for me. Alas, that particular reel and the needed part is no longer available. Otherwise, she was going to send me one! Ya gotta love customer service like that!

Needs some improvements but okay
This is a fresh out of the box review. I’ll update once some time has passed if outdoor use affects the product noticably.The product looks very nice. It is plastic but it doesn’t look like it until you get up close. The sides in particular look well made.The actual connection points are definitely tricky. For the leader house we had to replace the washer and use plumber tape to stop leaking. Also the interior connector can be hard to get the right angle on.The actual reel holds a lot of hose. It held all 150 ft easily. Without the house the box is quite light weight, if a little bulky. With a full hose it does become very heavy.

A Watering Game-Changer!
We’ve had this hose reel for almost two years now, and I’m honestly so impressed with how well it’s held up. Living in New York means we bring it inside during winter (just to be safe), but even with regular summer use, it still looks and works like new.The Smart Trak guide is genius—no more fighting with a tangled hose! It winds up smoothly every single time, which makes watering our garden so much easier. I also love that we haven’t had any connection leaks. The heavy-duty resin hasn’t faded or cracked despite being outside all summer.It holds our 225-foot hose with no problem, and the brown finish still looks nice in our yard. I like knowing that it’s made in the USA.If you’re tired of dealing with a messy, kinked-up hose, this reel is worth every penny. Two years in, and I’d buy it again in a heartbeat! 10/10 recommend. 🌟I’m attaching a short video but it works just as well with a longer amount of hose.

Cheap Junk
This is the cheapest made hose reel I ever had. I reeled a 100′ hose and not even 10′ in on a 50′ hose it jammed. At 100′ the hose is almost to the top of the end caps of the reel itself. Once I started to reel the next 50′ hose, the hose wound over the end cap and jammed the entire thing up. Trying to unwind the hose was such a struggle. The housing is such cheap plastic that it would just start to collapse on itself. To unwind the hose, you need to use the handle and pull the hose at the same time. It is too flimsy to pull just the hose and if you don’t pull the hose while using the handle the drum will just spin. Do not let the drum spin without the hose coming out of the housing. This made it bind up more. Finally got the hose free and unwound the entire amount of hose. That’s when I noticed the plastic piece where you attach the hose on the drum is now cracked and leaks water pretty bad. Cheap hard plastic. If it wasn’t such a hassle to return product to Amazon this would definitely be going back. I did fix the leak with JB weld. And reeled only the 100′ hose on. To get the 100′ hose on I had to keep tension on the hose and make sure that it wound perfectly onto the drum. I would not put more than 100′ on this. I guess this is what I get for going cheap.

This is sturdy well designed hose reel.I have it on my patio and the wicker finish fits with our current furniture. The remarkable design of the hose guide is a great feature. The addition of anchors is a great idea as well to secure it anywhere in your yard.

Product is great. You just have to keep the water on when you are rolling it, otherwise it will either jam or be hard to roll. It looks good outside as well with the patio.

Bought it late last summer and it leaked, I assumed it was my older hose so I didn’t return it. But I tried two additional hoses on it this year and it leaks with all of them. So disappointing.
