    Fantastic
I bought this to replace a much older stick vacuum. This is mostly to do all my hard floors and my stairs. I use a different vacuum for my carpet. It had no problem with all the dog hair (labrador). He even got into one of my plants and got a bunch of potting soil on the floor, it took care of that too. It did a great job and am pleased with my purchase. I think that anyone with hard floors needs a vacuum like this. A couple of notes, 1, it’s a bit heavier than my older Dyson stick vacuum. It’s not so much to be inconvenient but it is noticeable. 2, the dust bin is fairly small. I think for hard floors it will be fine, but if you are doing carpets and a lot of rugs, or have more than 1 furry family member, you may have to dump the bin multiple times. Dumping the bin is easy, you just click a button on the side, and it opens up. It also has a little brush attached to the side that you can use to assist with getting everything out of the bin. I did my entire main level (2,000 sq ft house) and my stairs and still had 2 out 3 bars on the battery meter. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would purchase again.

Great vacuum but… Carefully read the installation instructions when mounting to the wall.
Initial Impressions: It’s a great little vacuum so far. I’ve had it for a week and used it two or three times. I think it picks up more than my much older corded vacuum right now. But the canister is really small and fills quickly.A word of caution: installing the SpeedLock wall bracket REALLY BENEFITS from reading the relevant section in the full owners manual. I’m pretty handy and had the necessary tools (a Torx T20 driver), but I didn’t realize that the cord needed to be plugged in before snapping the bracket on the wall plate. In my effort to get it off the wall to plug it in after, it literally just ripped out of the drywall with the provided anchors. A flathead screwdriver wedged in the bottom would have helped. Luckily I had other anchors that actually worked better and fit the holes left behind.

R3ad The Manual carefully, and get a good idea of the installation details
RTFM, Read The Frightful Manual,. It’s only 30 pages, but it’s very dense, extrêmely complicated, the diagrams are terrible, don’t describe well, the détail, especially the installation of the charging bracket, to the wall. The wall anchors use special hi Torx screw heads, and for $600, how hard is it to supply a hi Torx bit that fits these screw heads. Can’t emphasize enough, RTFM!Miele typically has terrible diagrams, and confusing ambigous instructions.Otherwise, the power unit is super well designed, extremely powerful motor, excellent 2 stage air/ dust filtration system, easy to clean, cleaning tools work well but RTFM!I believe most of the bad comment is from not reading the manual, comprehensively. It took me 3 hours to read 30 pages, especially the last 15 of the 30 pages, and carefully look at the tiny terrible diagrams.Because the motor is powerful, it cleans reallywell, fills the dust soil container quickly,, and the battery runs down fast.If you decide to open, the battery compartiment, and take out the battery, you’ll see a pretty big freaking Lithium battery, that is so big and contributes to the weight of the power unit, significantly.

    Miele vs Dyson V11
Replaced and old Dyson V11. Miele feels more like an appliance than a toy. Replaced several parts on the Dyson. The trigger is especially a problem. Miele is much quieter and powerful. Cost much less. Happy so far.

    On Your Own
I purchased the Miele Duroflex vacuum and to be honest I fell in love with it. I was pretending I was an influencer when I talked about the close-to-$600 vacuum to friends and family. I was using it every other day. And four months after I got it a part broke/melted.It’s a plastic part that locks in the brush on the main attachment. The plastic part rotates very rapidly and constantly over a metal part. I am not a product engineer, but this seems like it was doomed to fail.I wasn’t able to return it via Amazon and Miele customer support was useless and wouldn’t send me a part. They were robotic and unhelpful saying I need to order the part, get this… over the phone!A plastic part. On a 4 month old vacuum. On the PHONE. For $22.50 plus shipping and tax!Except, get THIS: they don’t have the part they told me to call and order. Let alone send me for free. It’s a ten cent piece of plastic. And so now I have to drive 40 minutes to a dealer and have it looked at and the warranty reviewed. After calling the Miele authorized retailer they said Miele doesn’t honor a lot of waranties and often cite user error. What a massive pain and as a customer I went from a promoter, big time, very rapidly to a detractor. And now I see they have a 1.6 star review rating on Trustpiliot and now I shouldn’t be surprised. The vacuum works great until something goes wrong and then you are on your own. I might be sitting on a $600 piece of junk now.

    Light weight and very powerful!
This vacuum is light, powerful and compared to every other one I’ve ever used it’s really quiet. I just received it today and it did take a few hours to charge but after that it did its job really well. I have three carpeted floors and it did a great job though I will admit that I used up all of the battery to do it.

    Great vacuum!
Very easy to maneuver. Light and works really well on both low pile carpet and hard wood floor. Lots of power.

This may be the best vacuum I have ever had. My old machine broke down over a month ago and I was aghast at the amount of dust picked up. Who knew my floors were that grubby. They didn’t look it. In any case the Miele picked up everything and more. Very happy. Did the whole house on one charge. No way would the old machine do that (approx 4years old). My only minor complaint is that it is a bit heavy. A small price to pay. Also, it was cheaper than my previous machine.
