Getting a lot of functionality and longevity for a great price!
Love these smart bulbs, not only can I control them with Alexa, but they change colors, about a million plus colors. They have different scenes for ever occasion and DIY scenes you can create your own. Music mode, and very easy to setup. I installed 4 at a time and when I had Alexa scan for them, all 4 came up and synced with no issue. I bought two 4 packs and the 2nd four synced just like the 1st.Why did you pick this product vs others?:Because my other smart bulbs are the same brand and those are still going strong years later, and the price was right.

Won’t Work With 5G-Only Routers – Requires 2.4GHz WiFi
This isn’t a bad review, I’m just stating for others to see that it doesn’t work with a 5G network. I have had all KASA products but they don’t make a BR30 bulb. The reviews of these were good so I bought two packs, but this bulb REQUIRES that the wifi signal be 2.4ghz to work. I have a 5G router and even though there are many sources online that state you can split your 5G router into 2.4ghz and 5G and then connect the light to 2.4ghz before connecting to Google Home, the particular kind of router I have (“brand new technology AT&T just came out with” as of August 2025) does not allow that. Even my boyfriend who is a Nerd Alert 5000 can’t split the signals, so I’m returnign these. Please look into your wifi signal before buying these because you won’t be able to just ‘make it work’ if you can’t split your wifi strength 2.4ghz. I can’t rate the product itself because I wasn’t able to use it.UPDATE:I changed my 2 star review to 5 stars BECAUSE even though they don’t connect to 5GHZ, I was able to get a router (TP-Link AX1800) and broadcast a network these could connect to. They were VERY easy to set up. Despite always using KASA bulbs—which I love—these were even easier. The preset lights are amazing and the setup was seamless. Less than 45 minutes after I set up the new router, I had all six of these set up, renamed, grouped, and connected to Google Home. If you hate doing stuff like this (downloading new apps, boop-beep-boop, etc.) don’t pass these buy, they’re worth it.

Works great
Bulbs work great. Its a separate app than I already had but it links to the the Alexa app fine. Very bright. Will help with winter darkness in my house.

Bought Again!
This is a “buy it again” situation. Bulbs are easy to add to the app, and are easy to program. Looking to get more to complete all lights in my basement.

Flickering is making them useless
I bought 4 of these and two of them have started flickering. Changed order, and flickering followed the bulb so it’s not the sockets. Turned off all the circuit breakers in the house except the one that feeds the bulbs and they still flicker. Only been in use about 2 months. Only way to reduce flickering is reduce the percentage of brightness and color to unacceptable levels. Attempting to contact the manufacture went nowhere.

Lights work great
Have been using these br30 bulbs for the last few months and so far so good. They work very well and offer lots of different options when it comes to colors as well as different temperatures of white light. The bulbs were easy to setup in the app and are very responsive to changes I make. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again, great value. I hope they will last long, I’ve only had them for a few months so can’t speak the lifespan of these bulbs. They offer plenty of light and are quite bright.
