Easy to use no brainer steamer vs traditional mop
I use this mop every week for quick house maintenance and my Thursday clean whole house day. The washable pads have stood up to so much abuse from my dirty floors making my floors clean and shiny. The weight is light enough to go from room to room with no issues. You can easily maneuver the mop around with one hand it’s so light.What I like most about it, the kenmore SM2050 2 in 1 hard floor steam mop is that it’s easier to use than a traditional mop. It’s cleaner to have around than a traditional mop. You don’t have to already have hot water the mop heats so fast on its own. What I do I plug in the red light comes on I don’t even wait 2 minutes the red light beeps I click the button and go. You can also hear the machine steam and that will indicate it’s ready to use as well.I spot check my floor for stubborn mess and spray cleaner then go over the spot with the kenmore. Works for me and it will work for you too I’m sure.

Bang for the buck
This steamer works great and a budget friendly price point. It lifted dirt and grime that I didn’t know I had. It’s easy to use and set up. Heats up within a few seconds. I like the swivel head as it can get into hard to reach places. I started with a pretty dirty, high traffic area to test how well it would work.Downside: the water tank is EXTREMELY small. You may get 10 mins of steam before having to refill if you’re using it on high. This makes tough jobs take a lot longer. Also the cord is short so you will have to move it. The on button is on the body which is practical if you’re using the hand held but annoying when you’re not.This is my first steam mop and I’m pretty impressed. It definitely picked up things my mop didn’t and gets off stuck on grime fast.

You get what you pay for….
……1 yr update—> It’s a piece of junk. The steam takes quite awhile now and has little force for cleaning power. I’ve used industrial grade steam cleaners before, so maybe my expectations are too high. I’ll eventually be replacing this and am hoping to find a budget friendly one that has a good amount of cleaning power.

Adequate At Best
This thing does what it says it will do. It doesn’t do anything particularly well or even good for that matter. The accessory brushes are so small as to not require constant cleaning themselves before you can even finish cleaning the appliance (an air fryer in this case). The mop (primary) function is ok. I live in a 1200 sq ft duplex. The two pads it comes with are sufficient for a dusting of the floors if you use both. If there is any form of deep cleaning you got a problem.The pads also do not stick to the steam mop part very well. They will stay affixed to the mop but they will wiggle and move. The result is that there is really not an even application of steam or pressure on the pad as a dirty pad will show quickly. The pads are also very thin. I have often found myself wondering if I am actually cleaning or just spreading the mess around the floor because they are not especially absorbent. I would not use this as a mop. This is meant for spot cleaning at the most.

Way better than my last one
I bought this mainly because the price was right and I really wanted a steam mop that had a handheld option with a crevice tool. I see some reviews on here mentioning the effectiveness and temperature of the steam, but honestly? I have NOT had a single issue with either. The steam is hot. And this thing works! It blows my last steam mop (an earlier model shark) out of the water! And being able to clean grout, cracks, and crevices has helped me achieve a whole new level of clean! For the price, I don’t see how you could beat this. My only cons revolve around the water canister, as I don’t love how it’s affixed to the unit instead of being easily removed and I don’t love that the cap can be easily lost or misplaced, especially when it’s off the unit to allow it to dry. But neither of these would stop me from purchasing. Happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend!
