Easy to set up
Second set of 4 of this brand I have purchased. Had 4 of another brand but they failed pretty much simultaneously after several years. (Just an aside – failure looked like the lights not turning on when commanded; not turning off when commanded; when light on flickering.) They were not as easy to set up as these.On that note, these are pretty simple to set up. Download the Govee app on your phone, plug one of the plugs in, add in the app, press the on/off button on the plug, enter your network and password (only does 2.4 so make sure your router supports), name the plug, and done. Echo/Alexa automatically adds. (this is all iPhone)

These convinced me to go 100% Govee
After frustrating battles with three other brands of smart plugs, I bought a set of these a couple years ago to automate some Christmas lights. I have since bought a total of 4 packs of them and completely switched all of my home automation (plugs, lights, thermometers) to Govee, which should explain the 5 stars I’m giving them. They’re a bit bulky for outlets but that’s not abnormal for this technology at this point. The only time I’ve had trouble with them is getting some of them to resume following my automation routines after a power flicker or internet outage, but that doesn’t happen often. Unplugging and replugging each one will fix it. The price of a 4-pack has been stable at around $25 for at least a couple years, and $5 for a reliable smart plug is a steal.

Easy to use and to set up!
These are SO handy for lamps around the house. We have 3-4 lamps in the living room, and being able to turn them all on from my phone is so handy. The setup was incredibly simple and smooth, I just plugged it in, and the app recognized it. I’m usually hesitant to buy from random brands (I’d never heard of Govvee), but their products seem to be pretty solid, at least for now.

Great price and quality
Super easy to setup as is most Govee products. I control them all primarily through my Alexa; once you set them up in the app they “auto-magically” were setup in the amazon app. Great price for 4 of them – same price for 1 at most retailers.

No fuss setup, works great, app is a bit clumsy
I got these not so much for your normal smart home integration, but more because I needed to ensure kids devices would be powered down outside of certain hours. No more midnight tv on school days, that sort of thing.The setup was easy – search for the device in the app with bluetooth, press a button on the smart plug to confirm, enter the network password and you’re set. Unplug it and slot it where you’re going to use it.The app lets you set up a simple schedule – each event to turn on or off is a separate schedule, but you can select which days of the week you want it to occur on – or a timer, and it does what it says. It also allows Alexa/Google Home/etc integration, but I did not do that. I don’t want my kids to say “turn my tv back on,” and I don’t think there’s any sort of granular mechanism relating to voice controls and users.If that’s all you’re doing, you’re at 5 stars, but if you want to dive into more features than that, it gets (only a little) less great.The app was feature filled though a little klunky. I kept using my (android) device’s back button and sometimes it would exit the app – it was waiting for me to hit the “x” in the top right corner, or the “<" in the top left, or perhaps a "save" or "done" button in the top right instead.After adding a device, I wanted to create a new room and put the device in that room, but this required creating an account for some reason. Luckily Account creation was relatively painless, though I did have to verify my email address with a 4 digit code. There appeared to be some other features, perhaps hidden behind a subscription, but I did not investigate them further.In any case, after the new room was created, I had to jump through a number of menus: room management -> gear icon -> room I created -> device list -> add device -> done -> back arrow -> “x” icon -> now at home screen again.The third time I went through this, the new device showed up on the landing page of the room management and I didn’t have to explicitly search for a new device to be added, like it had refreshed something in the background, but it didn’t do this for the prior 2 plugs? Again, nothing was broken or impossible, but it was a little bit kludgy.I wasn’t surprised, a lot of these non-name-brand smart home devices have their own apps and the quality on individual features is all over the board, and this wasn’t the worst I’ve ever seen.

I’ve had Govee products since 2021 and they’re still working fantastic
Never really had any issues with Govee products except for one which they took care of the issue. As far as I’m concerned, I try to stick with the Govee brand when I buy any smart device. Keep up the good work.

Easy to use
WiFi and Bluetooth connection. Simple interface, easy to program, and it does the job. Better than having the old regular timers. And, they are not expensive. I got four, I ordered another four, but the double ones. I am using them as temperature and humidity timers on Terrariums.

I bought these to control systems for my bioactive crested gecko vivarium, and I have to say that it’s tempted me to make my whole house “smart”. The only improvement that I would like to see is on the app side; I really wish that there was a sunrise/set option for it, rather than programming hard and fast times, but it’s certainly not a deal breaker.

Neat product that make home automation rather easy. Plug the device in, use the Govee app to locate said device and add it to your home setup. Works on both Bluetooth and wi-fi. Follow the directions and within 5 minutes I had two of these installed and powering my devices. I now have the ability to remotely activate these appliances to give the impression I am around.
