Finally I can compete with the rest of my neighbors for most beautiful decoratively home competition that exists in my neighborhood subdivision and more so in my head. So first: in case you were wondering: NO they really meant you can’t add additional segments, no matter how creative you try to be. Get it through your head and don’t do it bThe light quality is enough to make your equally decoration obsessed ancestors proud and the neighbors envy you. The rgb color and lumen capacity are absolutely incredible. They are simply stunning, have really seamless integration between channels of lights and come with enough lights to make any home bright. They are functional for all holidays, but especially the ones that matter: Christmas and any others for your friendly neighborly outdoor lighting competitions. The length of the connection cables were not my favorite. I would’ve preferred 16ft cables to travel on more awkward places on my roof and provide more slack for my install. But for a 37 year old mom and wife who doesn’t exercise with much regularity—this is as seamless as you can get, and I can’t wait to brag to my doctor that I did this by myself, before she gets a chance to remind me of my bmi. The lights have waterproof caps for ends of connections and at all connection points.Govee is expensive. I know. But it’s the best. Just think of all admiration you’ll get for your beautiful uplift home! Buy them!!

Awesome lights , poor connectors.
These work really well and are compatible (with modifications) with WLED controllers. I currently use a meanwell 36v psu and a Dig Uno controller and it’s been great for automation. With this combo, you can achieve a much brighter light , brighter then the pro series? Adhesive is okay, I recommend hearing the adhesive right before contact and getting rubbing alcohol cleaner to really make it stick .I ended up stapling everything up so I didn’t need to worry about it.6 months update: I’ve been using this daily during the holiday and I’m in a humid area. The sections connectors have connection issues. I have 2 of them that I have to climb up on a ladder and disconnect/reconnect/wiggle as the light strip will go out . It must have to do with moisture. I will try dielectric grease and hopefully they are reliable afterwards.2nd UpdateGovee reached out and made it right with great customer service. I’ve added dielectric grease and I will update after the holiday season. Very happy with most my govee lighting products.

Contacted customer support, received amazing support. Quick response time and lots of troubleshooting ideas. Fast solution!! 100% recommend. Now we have a full set of working lights!

I got these Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 installed about two months and everything is working fine and they look wonderful. I wish the controller was a little more robust and weather friendly. To be clear there was not a problem with the controller but I wasn’t confident that it would survive the climate I am located. I didn’t take any chances and simply got a weatherproof electrical box and put the controller inside, all is good and safe from the elements.
