PERFECT for me
For the price this cant be beat. That said, might not want to grease the spindle ends. I have 100′ of hose on it and when all I need is 20′ I have to stop it from giving me, 60′. It will unspool A LOT very quickly 😆. Other than that the assembly was easy, instructions simple to follow, and it beats a hanging the hose on a hook or dealing with one of those plastic rubber maid hose reel bins

Sturdy & Nice
Stand is very sturdy and secured into the ground as instructed. Finished product looks great and works as advertised. A couple of things to consider: 1) rolling up the hose is easy with the handle, but you still need a free hand to help guide the hose in straight, 2) putting the stand together hit a snag with the cylinder cover hole placement: we had to unscrew the hose attachment piece on one wheel and rotate the positioning on the wheel by one screw hole to make the cover plate for the hose to wind upon work, 3) definitely needed the extra washer for the hose to the wheel attachment to keep it from leaking, and 4) after only 2 months outside, not under constant humidity or rain/wet conditions, the inside of the wheels are showing signs of rusting – we’ll take the hose off and add some additional rust preventative paint to the insides of the wheels to help preserve the unit.The size of the stand is decent, although any taller and you run the risk of it being less sturdy for rolling up the hose, and it holds the water pressure without fault. Overall, it is better than manually coiling the hose next to the house and saves my back from additional strain. Plus, it just looks better next to the house (even my hubs liked it) and the little basket tray is a nice feature. I would recommend it, but there is still a little work involved with this unit, hence the 4-star rating.

Good product for temporary hose storage
Gets hoses off hose butlers which do not gently accept coiled hoses. Much easier to coil than putting on hose butler. Reduces stress on hoses being stored. Easy to use when more length is needed. And small bench holds various attachments while providing structural support to the form. Assembly is easy and all necessary parts are provided.

It was a little harder to put together than I anticipated but I was tired and rushed. My errorswere easily repaired by actually reading the instructions which give lots of pointers. It is attractive solid and highly functional.

Keep looking further
After opening the shipping box I found it seriously needed better packaging. All of the pieces have worn marks down to bare metal from rubbing against one another in shipping. After putting this together, which was a simple process, it looks to be solid, but does have some bad design flaws in the reel itself. There isn’t any way for the reel to keep from backlashing once it is full of hose. Tends to unreel itself from hose tension which defeats the purpose.

Overrated and Underbuilt
I had high hopes for this product, expecting it to be durable and able to handle the job. Unfortunately, it was a complete disaster from the start. Once fully assembled, it looked heavy-duty enough—at least in theory. But as soon as I started reeling in just 100 feet of standard 5/8 hose, the entire unit immediately proved to be utterly useless.It couldn’t support even half the hose before pitching forward uncontrollably. I thought maybe the ground wasn’t deep enough, so I added weight and tried again. But the moment I stepped away for a second, the whole thing tipped over, landing face-down on the ground. The spikes, which are supposed to hold it in place, bent at nearly 90 degrees and broke off instantly when I tried to straighten them.Honestly, this thing is a joke. I barely managed to reel in 75 feet of hose before it was so damaged that I threw it straight into the recycling bin. Save yourself the frustration—unless you plan to use a lightweight, expandable flex hose (which this thing isn’t designed for). A normal garden hose is simply too much for it, and it’s not worth the money or the time. Absolute waste of space and cash.

Wish I bought 2!
I bought this for my front yard and another without a reel for the back. Wish I bought 2 instead! It is so easy to reel in with my 100 ft. hose and love the shelf below to hold the hose handle. Highly recommend!

Best Hose Reel Around!
This tall hose reel is a game changer for the avid gardener especially for those with back issues. Our 100 ft. long aluminum hose is heavy to lug around the yard and store so this reel makes hose storage and use so easy. The height of the reel keeps the hose well above the surrounding flowers and plants so it doesn’t harm them like shorter reels would. It’s very sturdy, sticks down deep into your soul and is easy to wind and unwind quickly. I gave it a 4 out of 5 star rating because I thought the price is bit high and after the first rain on it a little rust had formed from inside the holes of the screws even though it’s got a good spray coating. A little black anti rust paint can touch that up.Overall – I am very pleased and ordered another one for the other side of the house. .

Just assembled the unit, so I cannot say anything about how it operates. I wanted to post this for future buyers who run into problems with the spacing of the two halves of the drum that holds the hose. I was able to use the 9mm and 14mm spacers by adding washers to the basket attachment on one side. This opened up the space to allow me to put the drum in place.
