I installed this a few days ago and it’s been great so far. The housing feels solid and the hose pulls out and retracts really smoothly. Setup was simple and it came with everything I needed. I’ve used it a few times already for watering and washing the car, and it’s made things a lot easier. The reel locks in place nicely and doesn’t tangle up like my old one. Make an Immediate Change to Your Unit!
Con: I strongly suggest you immediately replace the plastic quick connect at the end of the hose with a brass 1/2″ garden hose connector. I’ve had my garden reel four day and three days the end of the hose blew and water ran for hours.Pro: Nice unit, recoiled the hose perfectly and was super eay to put up. In fact I am to receive my second one today, and will also remove the quick connect with a real garden hose connector.
