It’s good at holding food
It was working for the first two days, but it stopped letting the food come out when you press the + button. Not worth the money to be honest

Too simplistic for its own good?
It was very easy to set up, which is a plus. However, the inflexiblity in the programming makes it a bit more difficult to get everything perfect for your animal.If one of the 4 different portion sizes (20, 40, 60, or 80 grams) and 4 different timer schedules (3, 4, 5, or 6 hours) works with your animal, then that’s great! I bought two of these, though, and in my situation, neither of my animals can be fed properly with any combo of the 4×4 system these feeders use. Also the “childlock” doesn’t engage, I followed the instructions properly and tried the only other two combinations of buttons there could be, and I couldn’t get it to work.If your animal eats very quickly like my dog does, then rejoice! This thing spits food out at an astonishingly slow pace which helped my dog to not scarf down his food like it was his last meal. It made my cat very annoyed, although that’s really not that hard to do anyways.The (+) button is kind of weird as well. As I was testing it to see how many portion sizes my dog would need, it let out more portions the second time than the first time. I checked the manual and it said the button puts out one portion of food each time, so I don’t really know what that was about. I tested it on my cat’s feeder and it did the same, so its not just a one off thing.So look, I wrote a lot here, but bare bones: if you know exactly how much food your animal eats on a daily basis and you don’t want any fancy phone app, or a million unnecessary buttons, or a bunch of set up to have to do? Get this one. It’s cheap, it seems to work pretty well (I can’t speak on long term though), it’s VERY easy to use, and it’s not too ugly or anything. It is kind of lightweight though so be careful if you’ve got a big dog or a very playful cat.
